The Superfood Qualities of Raspberries and Yogurt

Both raspberries and yogurt are considered superfoods by the American Diabetes Association because they have low glycemic index and are packed with nutrients. Raspberries are an important source of antioxidants like quercetin, gallic acid, and ellagic acid, which are believed to help fight against cancer, circulatory diseases, and inflammation-related diseases.

Raspberries are also significant sources of vitamin C and fiber, both of which provide a variety of health benefits. Vitamin C is well-known for stopping colds, but did you know that it also protects the cardiovascular system, prevents eye disease, and is essential in keeping your skin clear and radiant? It has been found to help relieve the negative effects of stress as well.

Fiber keeps the body regular and can improve weight loss efforts because it helps increase the sensation of fullness when consumed. It also lowers cholesterol levels, regulates blood sugar levels, and reduces the risks of certain types of cancers.

Eliminating Sugar in Recipes with MiraBurst Miracle Berry Tablets

Raspberries and yogurt might provide an impressive amount of health benefits, but their sour tastes can unfortunately lead people to avoid them or add sugar to them, which negates the benefits they provide. Instead of adding sugar to sour and acidic foods, like raspberries and yogurt, try eating them after consuming a taste-altering MiraBurst Miracle Berry Tablet. These tablets contain a high level of the miracle berry’s glycoprotein Miraculin, a taste modifier that has been used in its native West Africa to make sour foods taste sweet for centuries. To highlight the awesome power of the miracle berry, we have omitted sugar in this recipe and recommend eating it after consuming our MiraBurst tablets – it will taste as sweet as ice cream, with no sugar!

Raspberry Yogurt Mousse Recipe

Ingredients

3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

½ teaspoon powdered gelatin

5 cups raspberries

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup plain yogurt

Chopped nuts for garnish (optional)

Directions

1. Add lemon juice to a small bowl and sprinkle with the powdered gelatin, allowing the gelatin to soften for about three minutes.

2. In a blender, puree 2 cups of raspberries until smooth. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer, pressing on the berries to extract the highest amount of juice. Discard the berry solids.

3. In a small saucepan, cook the raspberry juice over medium until it just begins to simmer. Add the lemon juice/gelatin mixture and cook until the gelatin dissolves, stirring constantly. Transfer to a bowl to allow to cool to room temperature.

4. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the whipping cream on medium-high speed until firm peaks form. Gently fold the plain yogurt into the whipped cream with a rubber spatula. Next, fold in the raspberry puree mixture.

5. Evenly divide the mixture into 12 silicone molds and refrigerate until set, at least two hours.

6. To serve, unmold the mousses and place on a plate. Surround each mousse with fresh raspberries. If desired, sprinkle the raspberries with chopped nuts to provide the dessert with a little crunch.
